Suspension of French as a Foreign Language classes

familangues French classes

For several years, Familangues has been committed to supporting community members in their French learning journey through free FLE (French as a Foreign Language) classes. These classes have been a valuable resource for Familangues members seeking to improve their French skills.

Our classes were designed to provide a comprehensive approach to learning French. Focusing on different linguistic aspects, such as phonetics, oral and written comprehension, and oral and written expression, the classes aimed to provide participants with a solid foundation in order to enable them to express themselves with confidence. Additionally, written production exercises were included to enhance students’ grammatical skills.

In addition to these classes, we also provided childcare services for children under the age of 3 during class time, in partnership with La Maison Soudanaise. This initiative aimed to enable participants to attend classes under optimal conditions by removing childcare-related barriers.

However, due to a lack of students, Familangues has made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend FLE classes. This decision doesn’t mark the definitive end of this service, but rather a pause until demand increases.

We remain open to reintroducing these FLE courses should demand resurge. Meanwhile, we continue to focus on our other activities and services to promote plurilingualism and interculturality within our community. If you’re interested in FLE classes at Familangues, please don’t hesitate to express your interest so we can assess the possibility of resuming them.
